Commitment to mental health issues

October 5 to October 7, 2022, the III International Scientific and Practical Conference "Commitment to Mental Health issues" was held at the Department of Psychology and Pedagogy of the Faculty of Philology of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia.

The co-organizers of the conference were: Manpower, Clever-consulting, Higher School of Economics, Lomonosov Moscow State University, Federation of Educational Psychologists of Russia, Psi Chi - The International Honor Society in Psychology, Institute of Pedagogical Research of the Republic of Serbia, Russian-Armenian (Slavic) University, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

October 5, the conference was held in a remote format together with the partners of the event.

The first Session began with a roundtable "Commitment to mental health issues: social, psychological, medical aspects of the issue". The results of the global study "Commitment to Mental Health issues" were presented.

The second session was a corporate block, which consisted of case studies, sections "Best practices" and "Management of psychological well–being at the organization level".

Leading specialists practitioners had speech: Kristina Aidumova (Head of SMM, Dodo pizza), Vitaly Altukhov (Director of Development and Research, Co-founder of Profilum), Yulia Karaseva (CEO of Inbalansy), Oksana Sukonkina (Head of Training and Staff Development at Medpoint24), Alexander Rau (Adidas Academy coach, practicing psychologist, gestalt therapist, wellness coach), Tatiana Kalinichenko (HR Manager Email Soldiers), Nadezhda Safyan (Candidate of Psychological Sciences), Olga Melnikova (Director of Business Development "Corporate Health").

The third the psychotherapeutic session consisted of "Human personality", "Practical tips", "How to maintain and strengthen psychological health" sections.

Leading specialists practitioners had speech: Anna Butakova (Clinical psychologist, cognitive behavioral therapist), Anastasia Kuzina (Humanistic psychologist, psychotherapist, author and presenter of psychological trainings, business coach), Vitalina Burova (Candidate of Medical Sciences, psychiatrist and psychotherapist).

The first day of the conference ended with the summing up the sessions.

October 6, the scientific conference was represented by a plenary session and the work of seven sections. In total, more than 400 participants (students, postgraduates, psychologists, practitioners, scholary and research) attended the conference. In total, 194 reports were presented in various formats at the plenary session and within the framework of the sections.

85 foreign representatives from 15 countries (Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Bulgaria, Belarus, Germany, USA, Italy, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Israel, Vietnam, Lithuania), 300 people from Moscow and from 25 regions of the Russian Federation took part in the plenary session, the work of sections and the roundtable (Saint Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Krasnodar, Tomsk, Yekaterinburg, Kemerovo, Khabarovsk, Yaroslavl, Cheboksary, etc.).

Well-known scholars from Russia, Serbia, Italy, Armenia and Kazakhstan took part in the plenary session and presented their research. There were reports on the problems of mental health and its maintenance technologies in many areas of modern human life.

The work of the sections of the scientific conference was presented in the following areas:

the problem of professional health and self-realization in conditions of emotional tension
problems of preserving the psychological health of students and teachers
the problem of psychological well-being in a situation of uncertainty
mental health. Diagnosis and maintenance in situations of emotional instability
education in the era of digitalization and its impact on psychological health
provision of emergency and crisis psychological assistance to participants of educational relations: technologies and methods
children's health in modern society ⁠

According to the results of the voting, students who participated in the poster session and presented their reports were awarded. The organizers and participants of the conference discussed the results of the work of the sections, highlighted the main problems of modern research on the mental health of the individual and society.

October 7, an international charity sports and Psychological Festival was held. At the opening of the festival in the assembly hall of the main building of the RUDN University, Rector of the RUDN University Oleg Yastrebov, Chairman of the organizing committee of the conference Evgeniy Bashkin, Russian pop singer and public figure Diana Gurtskaya, Vice-president of the National Health League Nickolay Kononov gave a speech.

All participants of the festival were invited to attend master classes on art therapy, which took place in the main building of the RUDN university; and sports activities (mini golf, frisbee, volleyball, etc.), which were located on the street near the main building of the RUDN university.
